New article on VoIP

We’ve just added a new article produced by one of our staff, E.B. Randall, to the article collection. If you are interested in VoIP and what some of the technical issues are in implementing broadband phone services, this is a fairly simple introduction.

This particular article doesn’t go into detail regarding NAT and firewall traversal or just exactly what SBCs are and how they work (later we’re planning some more detailed technical information for those interested).

VoIP - What is the Problem? — In the beginning, when the Internet Protocol was first designed, no one was thinking about the possibilities of sending audio and video. Real time communication was not an issue.
